Mission and Vision

Our Calling as God’s People

Holy Trinity Lutheran Church exists because God has called, gathered, enlightened, and sanctified us by His Word and Spirit. We believe He has placed us in this community for a purpose, not to serve ourselves, but to receive His gifts and share them faithfully with others.

What follows is our best understanding of God’s calling for us at this time and in this place.

Our Mission

Following Jesus — Serving All

We follow Jesus Christ, the crucified and risen Lord, as His disciples.
Having first been served by Him through Word and Sacrament, we are sent to serve others in love, within our congregation, our community, and the world.

Our Core Values

These values shape how we live together as Christ’s Church and how we hold one another accountable as we grow in faith and faithfulness.

Caring Relationships

  • We bear one another’s burdens, forgive as we have been forgiven, and walk together in love.

Scriptural Teaching and Worship

  • Christ Himself serves us through His Word faithfully proclaimed and His Sacraments rightly administered, creating and sustaining faith among His people.

Faithful Stewardship of God’s Gifts

  • All that we have is received from God. We respond with gratitude by using His gifts wisely and generously for the good of His kingdom and the care of our neighbors.

Outreach Rooted in God’s Mission (Missio Dei)

  • The Gospel is meant to be shared. Sent by God, we seek opportunities to love our neighbors and speak the hope we have in Christ through word and deed.

Future Focused in Faith

  • We invest in the next generation, trusting that God, who has sustained His Church throughout history, will continue to build and preserve it beyond us.

Our Vision

We believe God is calling Holy Trinity Lutheran Church to be a safe haven in our community, a place where people of all ages are welcomed, cared for, and strengthened by God’s grace.

We envision a congregation where:

  • Guests feel genuinely welcomed and encouraged to return, knowing they are accepted as valued members of God’s family.
  • Members flourish in spiritual growth, connection, and care through life together in Christ.
  • Families are supported, children are catechized, and disciples are formed for lifelong faith.
  • God’s blessings are shared generously, leading others to know and follow Jesus.

As Christ continues His work among us, we trust that He will multiply faith, deepen discipleship, and extend His mercy through us to our community and beyond.

Our Direction Moving Forward

As we look to the future, we are committed to renewal centered on Word and Sacrament, catechesis, and intentional discipleship.

We seek to faithfully discern how God is leading us, strengthening our life together, serving our neighbors, and preparing the Church for those who will come after us.

All of this we pursue not for our own sake, but:

For the glory of the Triune God who first serves us!
