Holy Tuesday — The One Who Goes Willingly
As Holy Week unfolds, it becomes clear that Jesus is not being swept along by events.
- He is not reacting.
- He is not trapped.
- He is not a victim.
He is moving—deliberately—toward the cross.
Throughout these days, Jesus teaches, confronts, and speaks with authority. He is fully in command of what is happening, even as the tension builds around Him.
He says it plainly:
“No one takes My life from Me, but I lay it down of My own accord.”
This matters.
Because it means the cross is not something done to Him, it is something He does "for you."
- Every step He takes this week is intentional.
- Every word is purposeful.
- Every moment is moving toward the giving of Himself.
So as you walk through this week, do not see a Savior overtaken by circumstances.
See the One who goes willingly.
"For you."
